What is this?
Join us for a GSA mural tour in the Cohen Federal Building that features massive mural cycles by three celebrated artists of the 20th century: Philip Guston, Ben Shahn, and Seymour Fogel. Each mural vividly illustrates life in 1930s America, and highlights the government’s role in caring for its citizens through the Social Security Administration. Nick Hartigan will be our guide again. He is wonderful.
This 1-hour tour starts at 10:30am with optional lunch afterwards. If you plan to take the Metro with us, we’ll meet in the Bethesda station on the train platform by 9:15am. Let us know if you plan to take the Metro.
RSVP by Thursday, February 15th. Limit is 12 people. Everyone will need a photo ID and should expect a brief security screening. A list of attendees will be submitted. Please let Stephanie Sutton know if you are a foreign national. Questions? Contact Stephanie.
