Dr. Eleanor Tanno, a local practicing primary care physician, will be teaching a series of three Zoom workshops on Creating an Advance Directive. She knows this subject can be intimidating and aims to make the topic engaging, easy-to-understand, and informative.
The first two workshops will cover the fundamentals of how you want to be treated at the end of life and how to name a health care agent, someone to speak for you when you can no longer speak for yourself. She will review the necessary legal documents and provide assistance in completing them.
The third workshop is an additional session only for BMAV members and volunteers who are interested in additional training to learn to teach others the fundamentals of making an Advance Directive. If you are interested in learning the subject more in-depth and becoming a future ambassador of Advance Directives, this session workshop is for you!
Workshop Dates:
Part I: Wednesday, April 19, 2 – 3:30 pm
Part II: Wednesday, April 26, 2 – 3 pm
Part III (optional as above): Wednesday, May 3, 2 – 3 pm
Space is limited and advanced registration is required. Spots will be opened to other DC area villages as space allows.
