Join Sylvia Winik and other BMAV members and friends on a visit to the National Building Museum. Before it closes, we will view the exhibit on Notre Dame. It is an augmented reality experience showing how the badly fire-damaged Notre Dame landmark cathedral continues to be conserved and restored, now at the third anniversary of the fire. Handheld tablets provided by the museum make you feel as if you are inside the cathedral - while it was being built, before the fire, and after.

We will also make time to view, “The Wall/ El Muro: What is a Border Wall?”, an exhibit which examines the wall between the U.S. and Mexico from a built environment perspective and explores the role of design in national security and geopolitics.

The museum is located directly across the street from the Judiciary Square exit on the metro red line. Sylvia plans to drive, let her know if you would like a ride. We will enter when the doors open at 11:00am. Bring $7 for an entry ticket and money for lunch after if you will join us. RSVP required to Sylvia or via the website.
