“A Personal and Political Journey through Minefields and Milestones—in Heels”
with the Honorable Connie Morella

Former Maryland Congresswoman, Connie Morella, will share her inspiring story. Born to Italian parents who emigrated through Ellis Island, Morella started out her career as a teacher. She went on to serve as a State Legislator, Member of Congress, and Ambassador to the OECD in Paris.

While in Congress, Morella successfully initiated legislation addressing domestic violence and child support, programs for the elderly, environmental protection, health care reform, and human rights. As a tribute to her years of public service, the Bethesda Library was renamed the Connie Morella Library in 2018. At 91 years old, Morella remains active and engaged in national issues to this day.
A Partnership Between Little Falls Village & The Little Falls Library of Montgomery County Public Libraries

Registration Link: www.littlefallsvillage.org/ConnieMorella
