Join Lily Buerkle, licensed embalmer and funeral director, who has worked in the funeral home industry for 6 years to talk death in the DMV and learn about how to plan around yours or a loved one’s end-of-life wishes. She will address basic logistics of what to do when your loved one dies, creating a plan for yourself as well as focus on green burial options in the area, donating your body/organs to science, embalming, grave liners, home vigils, human composting, cremation, caskets, online vs. in-person memorial services/funerals.
