Imogen Arate and John Blair will be reading from their poetry at Words out Loud, a free monthly first Friday spoken word series ordinarily held at Glen Echo Park but presented these days via Zoom.  Includes literary trivia quiz and open mic.

Imogen Arate is an award-winning Asian-American poet and writer and

the Executive Producer and Host of the weekly poetry podcast Poets and Muses (https://poetsandmuses.com/). She has written in four languages and published in two.  Her work was most recently featured in ChArt Journal 2020, The New Verse News and the literary journal, dyst.


John Blair has published six books, most recently Playful Song Called Beautiful (University of Iowa Press, 2016) as well as poems & stories in The Colorado Review, Poetry, The Sewanee Review, The Antioch Review, New Letters, and elsewhere. His seventh book, The Art of Forgetting, is forthcoming this December from Measure Press. He directs the undergraduate creative writing program at Texas State University.
