About this event

Recent science has shown that there is a reason a third of our life is spent unconsciously. Our speaker, Sylvan Mintz, DDS, will discuss what defines a good night's sleep, and how the quality and quantity of sleep affects longevity, safety, dementia, heart disease, cancer and other health related consequences. He'll also address snoring, noting that while snoring can seem harmless, it is one of the most frequent signs of obstructive sleep apnea, which causes periodic lack of oxygen during sleep. In children, snoring by itself can cause harm. Dr. Mintz will discuss simple strategies for obtaining restorative sleep, along with medical and dental interventions if needed.

Registration is strongly suggested. All are welcome to attend this free and open-to-all talk.
