About this event
The current Israeli-Hamas War in the Middle East presents huge challenges for the Biden Administration and the United States. Along with the ongoing war in Ukraine, a dysfunctional and fiercely polarized political system at home, and geopolitical threats to U.S. influence and its interests abroad, the consequences are enormous.
Aaron David Miller is a Senior Fellow at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace and a former State Department Middle East analyst and negotiator in Republican and Democratic Administrations. He is a CNN Global Affairs Analyst and the author of 5 books including his most recent, The End of Greatness: Why America Can’t Have (and Doesn’t Want) Another Great President. Between 1988 and 2003, Miller served six secretaries of state as an advisor on Arab-Israeli negotiations, participating in American efforts to broker agreements between Israel, Jordan, Syria, and the Palestinians.
