Discover what dementia is and what it isn’t, hear the answers to frequently asked questions, and learn about the different diseases that cause thinking problems, including mild cognitive impairment. The signs and symptoms of the different kinds of dementia will also be covered. Our speaker, Marti Brown Bailey, is the Interim Director of Sibley Community Affairs, as well as the Director of the Sibley Senior Association (SSA) and Community Health at Sibley Memorial Hospital in Northwest DC. She is also the founder/program designer of Club Memory®, a stigma-free social community for persons and their care partners living with Alzheimer’s and related Dementias. Marti is a Certified Senior Advisor, a Certified Alzheimer’s Disease and Dementia Care Trainer, Certified Dementia Practitioner, and expert trainer/speaker in Alzheimer’s disease and related dementia, as well as aging issues.
