About this event
Signup to attend a special tour with the Postal Museum’s Director or Deputy Director, exploring the wonders of the Postal Museum in this 45-minute tour. Many longtime residents have never been to the Smithsonian Institution’s National Postal Museum, yet it is a gem. The museum houses one of the largest and most significant philatelic and postal history collections in the world and one of the world’s most comprehensive library resources on philately and postal history. Galleries present America’s postal history from Colonial times to the present, while its collections contain prestigious U.S. and international postal issues and specialized collections, archival postal documents and 3-D objects. Free.
Meet Stephanie on the Bethesda Metro train platform at 10:30 am to travel together to Union Station for the 11:30 am tour. The group can gather for lunch after if there is interest. Register on the website or by emailing Stephanie by February 16.
