About this event
Brookside Gardens is Montgomery County’s incomparable, award-winning 50-acre public display garden within Wheaton Regional Park. Included in the gardens are several distinct areas: Aquatic Garden, Azalea Garden, Butterfly Garden, Children’s Garden, Rose Garden, Japanese Style Garden, Trial Garden, Rain Garden, and the Woodland Walk. The Formal Gardens areas include a Perennial Garden, Yew Garden, the Maple Terrace, and Fragrance Garden. With over 32 cultivated acres, it’s impossible to visit all garden areas in one tour but we will see seasonal highlights as well as any areas of interest to our group. Registration is required and $10 per person covers the cost of the private docent tour. Our walking tour begins at the Visitor Center with information on the mission of the garden. Ample free parking is available; Full Service members contact Elizabeth for a ride.
