About this event
6 sessions starting Wednesday, Jan 15, 3-5 pm (continuing Wednesdays Jan 29, Feb 12, 26, Mar 12, 26). Registration required by January 8 and limited to 15.
As we get older, health decision-making and end-of-life planning becomes inevitable. And at some level, everyone is aging solo as there is no guarantee partners or children will be here to help. Iona Senior Services created Aging Solo with the support of the AARP to help older adults be prepared and take charge of our aging. In six sessions led by Sharon Peska of Corewood Care, participants will reflect on our priorities, map out a support network, and put plans in place. Participants will receive a handbook including a planner and local and national resources. Participating in guided classes provides time and encouragement to complete necessary steps and when registering, you should plan on attending all sessions.
Sharon is the the Senior Director of Care Management at Corewood Care and a licensed social worker. Sharon has led bereavement and group classes for local communities for many years. Corewood Care provides tailored care management services in Bethesda and the DC area. Learn more here https://corewoodcare.com/
