Maddox served in the Carter Administration as a speechwriter for President and Mrs. Carter and a liaison to the religious community. An ordained minister, Maddox has authored several books including, “Preacher at the White House” and “Separation of Church and State.” Additionally, he is the founder of the Briggs Center for Faith and Action, a local nonprofit that provides social, educational and legal services to low-income immigrants.
