Local author and former high school English teacher Carol Solomon uses her collection of short stories to explore the restorative power of reading and writing during Covid. The presentation includes readings from her new book "Love, Loss, & Ghosts" and encourages participants to do their own flash writing. Up to ten participants will receive free copies of "Love, Loss, & Ghosts."

Carol Westreich Solomon has returned to her first love, creative writing, after decades of sharing her love for language and literature in the classroom. For twenty years, Solomon’s company Carol Solomon & Associates helped professionals in government agencies and corporations write, edit, and manage the writing of others. She later transferred her love for writing to the high school classroom in Montgomery County, Maryland.
