BMAV will have a docent tour of the exhibit "Vanishing Traditions: Textiles and Treasures from Southwest China." For centuries, minority cultures in southwest China have donned elaborate textiles, jewelry, and accessories for community celebrations. Dazzling festival costumes new to the museum’s collections explore traditions now endangered by modernization.  This exhibit is on display through July 9 and BMAV has arranged for a 45 minute group tour.

Entry is free but donations of $8 are appreciated. RSVP so that we can arrange to meet up to travel by self-paid taxi or Uber/Lyft.  There are also paid parking lots nearby. https://museum.gwu.edu/getting-here.

Those who would like to stay longer can follow the outing with lunch at Paul, a french bakery at 2000 Pennsylvania Ave NW.
